Another Weekend

Again its Friday, and yes, another weekend. Busy again, I should be going my cousin’s place soon to stay over, before waking up early to play soccer. Then afternoon, I’m not sure if there’s any thing going on with the guys. And yes, on Sunday, I will be out with darling before attending Jiankai’s wedding in the evening. Another packed weekend. And yes, no time for myself to sit down and relax. I think I really need a break.

Thanks beks for that song recommendation. Could you send it to me via email or msn, if you ever see me online. LOL!. Gmail would be good. =). And when I came home, my brother announced to me that this Mediacorp actor – nickname MC King, has passed away today, after having breathing difficulties in the morning. After hearing that, my mind came to a standstill, with my brain telling me heart something. And that something is – Life is so fragile. Its like at one point I could see you happily jumping around, having fun with friends and your family, and the next thing you know, I see you lying in your coffin, with your soul going to somewhere peaceful.

And its kinda sad to see talented people or stars that you idolise for a while to just disappear so easily like dust, when you are normally hopeful of people dying with old age. And normally when someone dies, then you will start to reminisce about his best and past. But no one remembers that person for his achievements when he was alive. Is that how we actually regard people who are special to the community? May MC King rest in peace and go somewhere safe. Another loss in this unpredictable world.

So is it hard to actually miss some star in life? If that person does make an impact in your life, then maybe yes. In this case, if let’s say David Beckham dies, I think many girls will suffer a heartbreak. And then will sob over his death and maybe couldn’t get over the loss. Same for any singer. Like for example, if one day Chester Bennington pass away, then won’t every nu-metal fans grieve for the loss of another great singer? Hmmm. But then again, these people create music that affects us in our lives in any way possible. And being a avid music lover, it’s sometimes painful to see singers come and go just like that. No offence, but then I think singers have more impact on actors and actresses.

Now let me show you the sickest poster I can ever find for a movie.

This is so sick that it reminds me of the movie – IT. Remember that clown? And yes, its a Batman 2 : The Dark Knight poster, starring Mr Joker here as you can see. Played by Heath Ledger, The Joker, from what I have seen from the trailer, is a darker, evil, psychotic and sick character that totally destroys off Heath Ledger’s looks and facial traits. And for that, I think The Dark Knight is something that I would want to look forward to. Damn it. Its too good to be true. =)

Like a Rose

Whilst preparing to get married, my friend Jiankai was looking for songs to be played on the event. Then he seeked my help for the songs, and browsing through so many old songs, I stumbled upon A1. And I realised how my girlfriend was glued to their music. So much lovey dovey feeling in the song, which is what my post title is stated as.

Do you remember the ever cheesy Westlife? I can’t believe I’m a fan of them last time. But no doubt, their songs are really wonderful at that time. Songs like “Flying Without Wings”, “Fool Again”, “World of Our Own” etc, all made to the top of the radio charts. And because of their mass and fast production of their songs and albums, the actually set a Guiness World Record for being the group with 18 number #1 hits on the charts in like a few years or something. That’s kinda like an amazing feat. But then they started to wilt a bit when Bryan McFadden left for a solo career and, from there, they were producing remakes of other songs. A sorry ending to a boyband with such wonderful voices.

Then there was N’sync. Remember them when they sing “Bye Bye Bye”? Lol. That was cool stuff. And to me, no boyband could ever match their dancing. Backstreet Boys still lose them. Because there’s Justin Timberlake and Co. And yet again, because of some issues here and there, Justin Timberlake left for a solo career which is ground breaking and so popular. His slick moves are one not to forget. One good thing about Nsync at that time was that all their songs are original. A pity that they aren’t together anymore.

And yes, who couldn’t forget the British girls, Spice Girls? The 5 of them, all having their own careers and stuff, didn’t bother about last time when they were young anymore, basically because all of them ain’t young and childish anymore. But from my awareness as a music listener, Mel C had a duet with Bryan Adams last time for a song that I still stick to listening, then Victoria, as the whole world knows, is married to the posterboy of soccer, David Beckham. And its amazing for one to have so many kids and have that same figure. Fantastic stuff. The rest are like gone fucks already. Haha. Nothing heard from them since they went their seperate ways. All I know is that they are having some reunion concert and they came out their last album or something. Whatever it is, I ain’t buying them though. Haha.

And who could ever forget the long running Backstreet Boys? The emo kids are those with the tattoos and bad boy looks but still have soft hearts, singing their melodious music away. Think about it, they are actually a good boyband that produces good music at that time. Most of their music have some impact onto me somehow. And now, everyone has a solo career, just that the Kevin guy left the band. But yet again, they are one of the longest running boybands ever. Everyone looks so old and shabby now, and they still call themselves boys. God. If they are boys, then I perhaps am a toddler. Haha.

Alright, after so many reminiscing memories of boybands, ever wonder who disappeared after having a few one hit wonders? Where the hell is O-town? Or maybe Busted? And who could every forget Plus One? Trademark? Or even A1? Lol. Perhaps all have their own world to live in. =)
