Underdog

Seriously, I don’t know what made me watch this show, but then I needed a good laugh after a strenuous and yet happening weekend. So I started of double-clicking on this show and watching it.

The Plot is simple -  After an accident in the mysterious lab of maniacal scientist Dr. Simon Barsinister (Peter Dinklage), an ordinary beagle unexpectedly finds himself endowed with unimaginable powers and the ability to speak. Armed with a fetching superhero costume, Underdog (voiced by Jason Lee) vows to protect the beleaguered citizens of Capitol City and, in particular, one beautiful spaniel named Polly Purebred (voiced by Amy Adams). When a sinister plot by Barsinister and his overgrown henchman Cad (Patrick Warburton) threatens to destroy Capitol City, only Underdog can save the day.

What a plot huh. I guess those who have watched the cartoon like centuries ago from Hannah Barbara (I think so) will know about this super hero canine. I’m not a big fan of dogs, but seriously, this show do pack some punch on the effects. Well, the last time I saw a canine talk in the big screen was Cats & Dogs. But so to speak, Underdog is easy on the kids and definitely quite fun for the family as well. At least the movie’s nicely paced and it makes you want to imagine how dogs can really be like Clark Kent and Lois Lane. Lol. The dog is really something that a man should look forward to I believe.

Well, just to sum it all up, it will be something to look forward to, although it’s way past the release date in the cinemas, but nonetheless – it’s simple entertainment for the family and kids definitely. =)

Bistro Delifrance

Not really a fan of Delifrance, I chanced upon the restaurant at Novena Square. Maybe it’s because that the presentation of the menu was really looking very appeasing, so I decided to dine in.

Alright, so I was with Gilbert and David and we ordered our seperate dishes. I ordered the all so tempting Seafood Baked Rice and David ordered some pizza that reminds us of a Chicken Supreme from Pizza Hut. Last but not least, Gilbert ordered a beef bolognase I think. Well, he was fine with the portion of pasta just that he thinks that there’s too much sauce for him. LOL.

David’s pizza was good, as I feel that his pizza wasn’t that commercialised but really fantastic stuff. Perhaps food that taste so nice but eventually doesn’t taste good because there’s reviewers like me who tell people it’s so nice. Lol. But my seafood baked rice wasn’t that bad either. It has really fresh prawns with a decent portion and a good mix of red and green capsicums. When I thought that the mussles will taste great, Perhaps I think their mussels were a little overcooked, but it doesn’t spoil the dish anyway. Haha.

There’s a free flow of small baguettes, and I mean normal french loaves with SCS butter. Haha. We had like 2 to 3 baskets of them. A bit exaggerating, but its free by the way. And we ordered the real baguettes, as in their garlic bread. It was a real good taste with good value. But still couldn’t compare to Pasta Fresca’s.

In overall, the concept is really simple and neat, with comfy chairs to go with. To top it all, good service is what I’m looking for and I believe they passed the test, just that they are little jittery when attending to David. Perhaps he looks ang moh that’s all. =)

Back in Business

Lol. Well, I just had a weekend hangover at the Conrad Centennial Hotel. Stayed there overnight along with a crazy bunch of friends playing Uno, Poker games, and definitely Pictionary. Kinda fun to play this kind of games once in a while. And definitely forfeits that really looked like Edison Chen pictures eventually. LOL.

Sometimes I believe that after all the stress and worries that life has given you, one should just sit down and plan a relaxing holiday somewhere. Somewhere that one can have fun and as well as just putting your feet on the ground, doing nothing. It will be a splendid time spent. And of course, not to mention the free breakfast and also some Spa treatment.

The Conrad stay was all too fantastic, as lady luck has fallen on my side, giving me the best room on the 22nd storey, with a breathtaking view of the city, as well as the direction of the sea and the Singapore Flyer. Then when we took the ride on the Singapore Flyer, literally flying that high was enough to make some of us giddy. But yea, such a wonderful and great chances are really hard to come by. We were like mad tourist taking photos in the cabin. Stupidly fun I guess. Haha. Well, at night was where the fun settles in, as the cumulonimbus clouds overlaps the sunset beyond the horizon, we had no choice but to take the Flyer at night. Maybe because Geok Leng is a curse to sunrises and sunsets (LOL.), but nonetheless, the night view was panoramic. A beauty that beholds the growth of our city.

But nothing beats sitting at home, blogging, and lying on my favourite bed. I’m still feeling a little zombish now actually. Thanks to the endless fun and games, plus the fact that freezing on a couch isn’t such a good idea.  Don’t worry, I promise everyone that tomorrow’s post will be interesting. =)

Gotta get some rest again, for we all love to see cirrus clouds back in the horizon once more. Oh, and my N95 is sold. Thank you all for inquiring if there’s any. =)
