Iron Man
I guess, this movie is the hit for the moment. And after watching this at GVMax at Vivocity, I couldn’t agree more to this another comic-turn-film movie.
The plot - Billionaire industrialist Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) makes weapons for the U.S. government. While testing of one of his inventions, he is wounded, captured and forced to make weapons for the enemy. Instead, he fashions himself a crude power armour to save his life and facilitate his escape. When he returns home, he revises his armour and finds purpose as the Armoured Avenger, Iron Man!
The film director couldn’t have chosen a better actor to fit the role of Tony Stark. Robert Downey Jr, after all the down and out times in life, has taken this role so well and natural that I’m truly impressed by the fact that his acting is still that excellent all this time. The point where you want to hate his character but at the same time be smitten at his utter sincerity. Man, he has done it too good. Great stuff from him.
The movie somewhat reminds me of Batman Begins, like an introduction to how Iron Man came about, testing his Nobel Prize invention, perfecting that metal suit of his. In Batman Begins, Bruce Wayne did all try to perfect and create his own weapon and whatever fast cars and motorbikes he have.
Ok, back to Iron Man. The cast did a wonderful job. People like Terrance Howard and Gwyneth Paltrow did their roles well. And if you ever wonder if there’s a part 2, FYI, Iron Man in the comics has a friend who became the other metal wonder hero War Machine. And that guy, is his best friend, which is Terrance Howard. Wait for that blue and black outfit to make its impact on the next one.
The fact that the suit that Tony Stark created is so so so advanced that you be blown off not only by the effects but also the prowess of the suit. I didn’t want to leave my seat because I won’t know what I will be missing from the suit. Technology does really kick some ass here. I think I saw many people in the cinema with their mouths wide open when they saw how cool that suit was. Damn, my mouth was open as well.
Story was fantastic, with a bit of love between you know who, with some humour, this show is definitely a must watch. Overall I love it. So good that you will kinda love every bit of it. That’s for me. Haha. Anyway, some hint here - do patiently stay till the end of the credits. Be surprised at who you will see. My oh my. This is so surprising. =)
Ratings - 4 and a half out of 5 stars

Iron Man was practically flawless as a super hero flick; it drops pretty obvious hints that would indicate a sequel as well… i’m thinking the next one should be equally great
