Sahara

Filed under: Reviews of Movies, action, health, history, hobbies, humour, inspiration, interest, life, whatever — egomarc @ 12:42 am

Finished this movie in like…. 4 days? LOL. Well, was rather curious about this show, so manage to check it out.

The plot – When master explorer Dirk Pitt finds a fabled coin linked to a historical legend, he takes on the adventure of his life as he embarks on a treasure hunt through some of the most dangerous regions of West Africa. As they search for what locals call the Ship of Death–a long-lost Civil War battleship that protects a secret cargo–Dirk and his wisecracking sidekick, Al Giordino, meet Dr. Eva Rojas, a beautiful and brilliant doctor who believes that the hidden treasure may be connected to a larger problem that threatens the world around them. Hunting for a ship that no one else thinks exists, Dirk, Al, and Eva must rely on their wits and their daring heroics to outsmart dangerous warlords, survive the threatening terrain, and get to the bottom of both mysteries.

At first, I was rather deviated from the plot, as it started off with the history of the Ship of Death and how it kinda got buried somewhere in the middle of Africa. Then somehow the story flows here and there and ended up with Nuclear waste that runs into the Niger river.

But what I didn’t know is that they end up finding their ship in the middle of the desert – presumably the Sahara. Don’t take it as a bad movie with a bad plot, but to me, this movie did well in the humour part, the action part as well as the acting part. But at least it somehow took me through an adventure that I didn’t know of.

In one of the scenes, the bad guy mentioned something like this :

This is Africa. Nobody cares about Africa.”

That kinda woke me up a little. As one would have known, Africa is a continent built up with nations of different cultural strengths but with different political views. Of course, that sentence did really make a note to all of us, that Africa might one day be a country to be reckon with.

Basically, I do like this movie somehow, although with a plot that is really mediocre. Penelope Cruz is pretty though, but with that weird accent in this show, it makes me feel how weird that would be. Oh well.

Death Race

Filed under: Reviews of Movies, action, automobile, car, death, hobbies, humour, interest, life, love, street — egomarc @ 12:27 am

Yet another impromptu decision by yours truly. Decided to catch this movie with my girl at Marina Square. Didn’t expect much from this, as I was looking around the region of “The Condemned” type of show. Guess what?

The plot – Jason Statham takes the role of Jensen Ames in the remake of the Roger Classman classic “Death Race”. Overcrowding in the U.S. penal system has reached a breaking point and prisons have been turned over to monolithic Weyland Corporation, which sees prisoners as an opportunity for a televised sport called “Death Race”, the world’s biggest and most brutal sporting event. Five-time NASCAR champion Jensen Ames is a man who has become an expert at survival. When Weyland demands a driver to headline the big game, Ames is forced to submit. Donning the costume of mythical rider Frankenstein, the racer becomes an instant crowd favorite. Hidden by a metallic black mask, one convict will be put through a brutal three day challenge, with the trophy being the ultimate prize: freedom. Ames’ expertise will now be put to the test. It’s either to kill or be killed.

Oh. To answer that question – it wasn’t that bad after all. Although it had almost the same type of plot as The Condemned, it proved to me that this movie is so action-packed and thrilling that it takes you on a ride so fast that you couldn’t stop for a moment of urgency at the loo. All the way from the start till the end, you just gotta find that seatbelt but you can’t. Obviously.

Then again, I wasn’t really expecting much, with a very very skeptical mindset for the show. Wasn’t prepared for total madness indeed. Gory, violent and thrilling parts might appeal to the those who like things like “Freddy vs Jason”. It has a rather extraordinary videography, with scenes that will make up the kind of dark yet dirty type of show. Kinda like a mix between “300″ and “Sin City”, with only a few colours chosen to make up the movie. Well, it didn’t let me down.

The relatively strong cast proved to be another decisive factor for the success of this show. Jason Statham, a regular action-movie figure, fits so perfectly in the bill, whereas people like Tyrese Gibson didn’t fail to impress. Ian McShane and Joan Allen did equally well for their role.

In all, an action packed movie so dark yet so furious. Didn’t realise that my $8 was rather worth it. Catch it if you can. =)

Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Filed under: Just Updates, Reviews of Movies, cartoon, family, hobbies, humour, interest, kids, life, whatever — egomarc @ 12:15 am

Haha. Don’t ask me why I watched it. But I just had to endure the adorable chipmunks somehow.

The plot – Based on the 1980s cartoon series about a music group of chipmunks comprised of mischievous group leader Alvin (Justin Long); the tall and quiet Simon (Matthew Gray Gubler); and chubby, impressionable Theodore (Jesse McCartney). The three chipmunk brothers are adopted by a songwriter named Dave (Jason Lee) and with his help, the Chipmunks skyrocket to musical fame. However, in comes scheming greedy agent Ian (David Cross). He tries to lure the Chipmunks away from their concerned father figure, Dave, with the promise of fun, fortune and fame. Will they fall for Ian’s villainous plans or stay loyal to trusty Dave?

This movie does deliver in the sense that these talking chipmunks are just one hell of a party bunch. Somehow their hyper-activeness can cause you to go crazy just by looking at them dance, sing, run, play… you get the picture. I was even surprised at the fact that Jesse McCartney did the voice for Theodore. Well, perhaps a right choice because he’s somehow an established singer and would fit rather well in the role.

Then again, the plot is as mediocre as any other plots, predictable yet family friendly. Then again, this movie in my point of view, would be a movie that is made because of it’s marketable value – and it’s appeal to kids. You gotta admit – the chipmunks are really adorable, as in at least these cute “tree-top animals” at are their proportionate and “mother nature” size unlike the TV Series, where they look as good as 3 Barney the Dinosaurs with handmade knitted rainbow clothes.

Of course, everything looks surreal. Like chipmunks can really talk huh. Then again, the cast does it’s normal job to get the film done with, of course with the script making it look like as if we are watching the TV series, except in CGI plus real humans style. Well, addictive as I would say, their Helium-pitched voices might lead you to imitate it somehow. It’s fun for me. Fun for you? Unless you are cute. Haha!

In all, it’s a real rojak of music – in chipmunk voice and style – that would leave you tapping your feet away with the beat. Of course, hearing chipmunks sing is another new and unorthodox way of promoting music. Somehow you might feel that they may hit it to the billboard charts. Ask Shayne Ward. =)

Curry?

Filed under: Just Updates, hobbies, interest, life, mood, singapore, whatever — egomarc @ 11:29 pm

Today, I ate Nasi Briyani at some coffee shop at Toa Payoh. Then a family sat beside my table, with 2 kids and an old lady, which I presume that she’s their grandmother. A woman, that I assume that would be the kids’ mum, asked them something.

Mum – Kids, do you all eat curry?

1 of the kid – I can eat curry. McDonald’s Curry.

Yes, I went Zzz, Ok. LOL. But after eating curry for so many years to come, I came to wonder where did curry actually originated from. So doing some minor research, sources from the web has shown that curry might have originated from the British as far as the 1700s, but most pundits have been settling on the Tamil word kari meaning spiced sauce.

Well, as curry has watermarked into the books of history, the spiced sauced itself has been improved to suit different taste. As a fan of curry, I would go around tasting curry, but of course, as the origin that most pundits have come to mind would be India, so which means that curry would mostly be associated to the Indians.

Being that way, what curry do Indians like to make then? As many Singaporeans would know, there will be norms like chicken curry, mutton curry, vegetable curry. Others will be like fish curry or so. But that’s Indian style.

As for the Chinese like us most, we love curry chicken (funny as to why it’s being mentioned curry first then chicken rather then the other way round.) with bread. Then we do have curry fish head (again. lol.) as well as vegetarian curry. I don’t know if we can consider laksa as curry sauce, but then if it’s spicy, I guess it would be something more exotic.

And for the most unorthodox curry type, it would be the Japanese curry. The difference between normal curry and Japanese curry would be that Japanese curry is not spicy – but sweet. Somehow, the Japanese do have spiciness related to only wasabi in their dictionary. But nonetheless, curry has been one of their long favourite delicacies. Sweet yet tasty.

A note to ponder – Curry’ has not looked back since and was recently named the British National dish after a major opinion poll by Gallup. It is interesting to note that the Portuguese, Dutch and even the French were in India long before or concurrently with the English and yet it was Britain that readily adopted curry, not the others. (Sources from here.)

So, we should not ALWAYS associate spice and curry to Indians just because they flip dough in the air and pull tea in their shops, and serve you with one of their curry. And definitely not McDonalds always. =)

Pic of the Day: Like a coconut tree right? Doesn’t mean you have to associate to them. =)

Once again…

This sucks really.

At a point of time when the computer became such an important asset in our everyday lives, my one has to break down after it’s 6 year stint in this world. Although it has served me as a loyal technological companion over these years, it somehow is something that I still love to hate.

Then again, I always contemplate on buying a new one. Of course, not hoping the fact that the computer would die on me. Tried so much to revive it but it just don’t want to. And the only few possibilities of this problem is either the hard disk or the motherboard.

Wondering how I manage to blog again? Of course, I’m using another computer. But not at the typical LAN shop that ah bengs and ah lians patron. I still have my own laptop, although my sisters will be the one that usually starts to hog it, leaving me with NOTHING to use. And as you know, I feel useless without technology somehow. I think I’m a tech slave already.

But as life goes on, I manage to do a few things these few days -

- watched Death Race. Damn it, surpassed my ultra low expectations
- bought a multi card reader.
- bought a small bag from 4Skins.
- ate at Yotei.
- bought a Comic-con Batman Hotwheels Die Cast cars (only available in the US).
- worked my ass off.
- while working, discovered many other nice food outlets around Singapore. Kinda like finding a needle in the haystack.
- been trial-ing out for photography.
- manage to attend 2 days of the Fireworks Festival, taking photos from different locations.
- didn’t manage to go to Bornfire because it was cancelled.
- realises that Planet Mars is coming as close as 35 miles to Earth on the 27th of August, 12:30am.
- had many lobangs for my current job. =)
- realise that Suban’s Tioman trip was a little frightening. But that’s because the sunshine boy didn’t go (that’s me. ok I’m joking.)
- last but not least, went out with my girl. =))))))

Gotta go now. Work is piling.

My Bloodline. Suddenly.

Filed under: Just Updates, cousins, family, history, interest, life, mood, singapore, whatever — egomarc @ 10:18 pm

This is strange, but if you believe me, it’s actually true.

As most of you close friends might have known, I’m not just Singaporean, let alone my siblings and my cousins in my mum’s side. But cousins of mine should only be about 4 categories of bloodline. Later I will name them, since other’s might be a bit curious.

The bloodline, for most of the time, can go a million years away. Ancestors might come from different places, but the nearest I can tell you is 5 generations at most. And these 5 years inside, I realise in my blood alone doesn’t stand only for Singapore, and I won’t be surprised.

Singapore, being a multi-racial society, consist of 4 races – obviously the Chinese, Malays, Indians and the Eurasians. But history has it that other people from anywhere else in the world have travelled miles to get to this small island, and settle down till the day their have a family line here. And all that was said and done, we have ancestors that live up to dunno how many hundred years ago.

Now, you must be a little impatient about the new discovery of a new blood in me? Well, I’m not being shameless here, but remember that if you continue to read after this paragraph, you are actually believing every word I say here. But I swear to my conscience here, although you can’t physically see me do that. Ok, here goes.

1st bloodline – Singaporean (obviously).

2nd bloodline – China. Grandma from mum’s side is from somewhere in China. Fled here during World War. God knows how she manage to meet my Grandpa.

3rd bloodline – Peranakan. The virtually extinct old-fashion bloodline that none would have seen in a long time to come. That explains why I love spicy food, looks like a Malay, hangs out with Malays, has ball sense in sports, loves eating and loves cooking, although I’m trying to improve. LOL.

4th bloodline – Malaysian. Dad’s side. Grandpa is Malaysian. Surprisingly I got the Malaysian Chinese accent right when I speak to workers at the work site, making communication easier for me. Life sucks when you don’t know many languages.

5th bloodline – Portuguese. Believe it or not. I forgotten whether is it my great great grandfather or is it great great great grandfather, but then, that’s how it goes. And according to my godfather, Portuguese have these obvious nose structure that kinda bum out a little before going downwards – which I have. And my godfather has it too. My sister as well.

So why don’t you go check out your bloodline, you might not know what’s behind it, but then you might be surprised at what you have in your blood. =)

Pic of the Day: Remember Pokemon? Only know how to play colour. LOL. =)

Left for the Dead.

Filed under: Just Updates, health, interest, jobs, life, money, mood, rant, singapore, whatever — egomarc @ 11:28 pm

After much work that has been done over at Elite Park Ave, I had to take a hiatus after all the stress that we have been going through. Although part of the process, we were on the wrong end, but then again, it’s a lesson learnt and definitely one mistake to look out for.

Well, if you believe me, I’m actually typing this post while my head and mind swirls left and right and around. I’m so dizzy and tired from work that it has taken a huge toll on my sleeping hours. And of course, perspiring, running and driving around can really make you excrete your shit easily.

And I just received a call from 18DA today, stating that I must attend an SAF Seminar next Friday, which means work must be compromised. Argh, I need money and they are holding me back. This sucks really. After attending the seminar then we are free to go back. And it’s RSAF day that day. Well, I’m seriously tired and do not wish to go back there in UNIFORM. Sigh.

Once someone said that making too much love can make you damn tired. Try working.

Journey To The Centre Of The Earth

Filed under: 3D, Reviews of Movies, action, earth, family, history, hobbies, humour, interest, life, whatever — egomarc @ 12:27 am

I never expected myself to watch this old school novel. Heard of it before, but just didn’t manage to know what is going on in the storybook. Till now. Haha!

The plot – Based on a novel by Jules Verne “Journey To The Center Of The Earth” tells a tale of a troubled young boy who followed his uncle to explore a fantastic world beyond the imaginable where they will find mystery, excitement, and danger.

I didn’t catch this movie in 3D, because we watched this in the cinema. But if I had the chance, I would do so because the CGI is fantastic. Storyline wise, much humour and drama has been added into the very adventurous and magical plot itself.

The whole show goes typically similiar to that of the Mummy, like humour and action – which suits Brendan Fraser pretty well like the way he liked it. Then again, the plot itself is rather thin, hardly anything to begin with. The various graphical things that are moving around here and there are kinda like distractions to you to let you admire the beauty of the underground wonder, but it was just a mask. Haha.

Well, I felt that the T-Rex was a bit redundant, because I felt that they could have a lot more T-Rexes. LOL. But I do like the sea lochness, something that you don’t see quite often. I think I’m quite curious about the centre of the Earth suddenly. Kinda make me feel more curious about seismic movement in the Earth and whatsoever. And because of the plot, it makes one feel that not really that much is explained. Or should I say not that extensive.

Overall, I think the movie is good for the family, with drama, humour, and of course, decency – something that we hardly see these days in the theatres. Nonetheless, I felt that this would be a lot better – in 3D. =)

The Coffee Club

Filed under: Restaurant Reviews, food, hobbies, interest, life, seafood, singapore, western, whatever — egomarc @ 12:21 pm

This is one of my another lunch breaks and Amanda insisted on having an air con place to eat, so we eventually end up at The Coffee Club along Upper East Coast Road.

So famished as we can get, we ordered a considerably amount. Worse, we ate at like 2 plus? That’s because the owner of the house doesn’t need to eat, but that doesn’t mean that WE DON’T NEED TO EAT. Pissed off. With someone like him as your boss, I think you might just die suffering.

Ok, let’s get back to the food thing. We firstly ordered our drinks. I ordered a Mocha Vanilla whereas she ordered a blackberry coffee or something. Her’s was good, although a little sweet because she called for more sweetness. They have jelly inside as well, and it’s a different thing to try as well. But nonetheless, her’s is a good product to behold. Mine was general in terms of coffee aspects.

The drinks. Mine’s on the right.

Next, we had Potato Wedges. So long since I ate wedges at places like this. The nicest so far was at TCC, but then I couldn’t resist but try the ones at coffee club. Amazing enough, the size of the wedges are large as well as the serving itself. I could eat up the wedges and I will be full, but then, work took a toll on me and I had to feast nonetheless. Oh, I forgot, it taste great. =)

Wedges at it’s best. =)

Then our main courses came. I ordered Alfredo while she ordered her Seafood Pasta. Amazingly, my Alfredo tasted out of this world, with cheese that melts in your mouth and pasta that was rather generous in terms of portion. Her Seafood Pasta was even better with a mix of prawns, mussels, sotong and something else that I forgotten. But both of our meals were fantastic. The taste of her Seafood Pasta doesn’t really have that much of a raw seafood taste, which some people dislike. But then, her’s was a good buy.

Our main courses. Cool. =)

Overall, the service staff were a little inattentive, but were kind and polite. Ambience was good though, more of a chill out spot than a restaurant. I have yet to try their desserts, which I was raring to but didn’t had t he time. Anyway, with comfortable seats and sumptuous food, I guess it was a good experience, and might dine at coffee club in the future. =)

Jalan Tua Kong Lau Lim Mee Pok

Filed under: Restaurant Reviews, food, health, hobbies, interest, life, money, singapore, whatever — egomarc @ 11:37 am

This is not your typical restaurant, but it’s a gem found in the lost rubble of East Coast. Situated in a coffee shop that is less patronised, this is just a normal stall that sells noodles. Wait, did I say normal?

Actually, I kinda think that their mee pok is solid stuff. When I ate, their amount of mee pok are considerably just nice for a normal human, but that doesn’t matter, because what matters most is their ingredients and chilli. Yes, chilli.

Somehow, when I eat their noodles, the aftertaste of chilli is outstanding, and from what I see, their amount of chilli their they actually added into my bowl of mee pok was actually quite small. And yes, it taste really spicy. Spicy enough for me to order a cup of lime juice when I usually don’t while eating mee pok. Somehow their taste of it still remains at the taste buds of my tongue, but don’t worry, I did rinse my mouth after that. But it’s good.

In addition, with all the extra ingredients like meatballs, mushrooms, blah blah blah, it feels that I came to a place that was once a great place to eat mee pok. What’s even better is that their mee pok isn’t that soupy, neither it’s too dry and oily.

Overall, I did enjoy this bowl of mee pok while on lunch break from work. Eating alone sucks la, but then, it made my day. And at a bowl for $3, $4 and $5, it’s a real bargain. =)

Xiao Bao Steamboat Buffet

Ok, after a long wait (and many months of not eating this), I manage to have a good meal yesterday at this place. Just at the end of Liang Seah St, the place was already packed at 5:30pm, with many people filling up their seats, enjoying their meal. I don’t classify this as a restaurant, but they consider themselves a restaurant, and since they are one typical type of eating style, then I might as well jot that down.

Apparently, this place has like 5 types of soups to choose from. But of course, you can only have 2. The Tom Yam soup was good, spicy and real spicy. The chicken soup was alright, although it can be better. But nonetheless, the variety of food that we got were considerably a lot.

Apart from the usuals, they have special food that I didn’t know – like fishball with pork inside. Normally, a fishball is a fishball, and having this extra ingredient gives a different dimension to eating. They even served crabs that are chopped in half or have their claws chopped. Not bad for the seafood department. The usuals are like you know, meatballs, hotdogs, crab sticks, prawn, veggies etc. You name it, they should have it. I didn’t try the prawns, surprisingly.

Service was alright and the ambience is as good as any coffee shop – except it’s in town. Although I paid for the drinks, I had a fun time there gathering with friends that we hardly meet for so long. But in all, the restaurant is a bargain. For $15, you get to enjoy steamboat and the company of your friends. No service charge, no GST. Just eat. =)

Time for myself?

Filed under: Friends, Just Updates, hobbies, inspiration, interest, jobs, life, love, money, mood, rant, singapore, whatever — egomarc @ 1:11 am

I have been thinking for these few days actually – since I have been working for almost a month or so, I started to wonder if I have ever had a life at the moment. From what I’m visualising, I guess I can see that most of the time spent is work and perhaps only the weekends are days that I will be looking forward to. And most of the time it’s either with my girl or with my friends.

And somehow my girl is free and I’m not, then I’m free then my girl is not. Zzz. Then when I’m free my friends are not, and when they are free…. you get the picture.

Sometimes it’s not that I do not arrange for time for myself, but I couldn’t help but be hardworking. And being hardworking means doing anything even if it isn’t work. Like now. Even when I’m blogging, I need my brain cells to be working. Hardworking is within my nature and somehow I don’t tend to laze easily. Although I have my own occasions of laziness, but who doesn’t?

Work woke me up from reality, because if I don’t start now, when will I be successful?

The owner of the house that we are currently working on once asked me about my life at the moment. He threw questions regarding age, education, money, NS and stuff like that, I told him my exact stuff – just adding info whereby I couldn’t get into uni. His reply?

“Aiya, study waste time one. Study one degree about 3 to 4 years. By the time u study finish, people already earn 3 – 4 years more money than you should actually have. “

Then again, that sentence did wake me up to the ruthless society of ours. Somehow it made me strived to do better. If I ever become rich, I would have him to thank for. I rather try something that makes sense, practical and logical rather than to try something that is risk-taking, worthless and redundant. In addition, waste of time.

Sigh. If only my life was a tad more interesting and adventurous.

There’s never a wish, better than this, when you only got a 100 years to live.

Dragon Wars

Filed under: Just Updates, Reviews of Movies, action, fantasy, history, hobbies, humour, interest, life, whatever — egomarc @ 11:38 pm

If I had known.

The plot – A TV news reporter, an antique dealer and a young woman all play a role in this old Korean legend coming to life. A giant snake slithers its way through the streets of Los Angeles and the trio must keep it from reuniting with an ancient spirit that will turn it into an evil, even more destructive dragon.

Ok, so what about this movie? I can’t say much because this movie is absolutely mindless. There are a few parts of the movie that don’t make sense, but I like the way the history sets itself the legend (and all the story telling before and stuff).

I love the CGI, with the creatures and special effects that meets expectations of technologies of the current world. Well, because of that, they kinda make you forget about the mediocre cast as well as the bad acting. And with this storyline simple to the point of a normal kindergarten storybook, it’s no wonder that when I watched it, I felt… weird.

Somehow the CGI just deters you away from the plot. And yes, there you have – distraction. Overall, if you would like to see this show, I would say that you leave you brain in the cupboard and catch this show.

Ratings – 2 and a half out of 5 stars (for the CGI)

Fun Times.

Ever wonder when you can have fun when life is full of projects, work, homework, housework etc all piling to your eyeballs? Well, in the past few moments that I have with me, I realise that I did have fun in the midst of all the stress at work. I know it’s a little rare in my blog to see pictures, but nonetheless I will always make an exception sometimes. And since I’m in a good mood, I don’t want to blog about things that I face almost everytime. And I will only do so when I’m feeling so damn lousy.

My tolerance somehow has been already tested and I have almost reached my boiling point. Never see me angry before? You don’t want to know.

Well, let’s put the sorrowness aside and focus on stupidity – because stupidity is fun. =). Not to forget beauty. Haha.

Photobucket

Ok, the above was during a BBQ session that we had. Damn fun when John Lee is around. Totally owned the entertainment set. Even a jukebox isn’t needed when you have him around.

Photobucket

This is Colin, our friendly neighbourhood Mr Popular. Somehow, this pictures do crack me up. BTW, its a trip to Ikea.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

I wanna share this picture above. It’s a 60 year old Philips Radio Console that I saw when the new owner brought it into his house when we are working on it. Damn fantastic. Even older than my parents. Cool shit.

Photobucket

This is the both of us trying to look stupid enough. I didn’t try hard enough, because it’s obvious that she did. LOL!

Photobucket

This is another at Starbucks Marina Square. Slacking and relaxing. And suddenly I saw David, that didn’t even know that I’m there. God.

Photobucket

Dug out this pic last time when we are on the bus to somewhere. I guess it’s her home. And it’s about 2005 when I was still in BMT. I look damn skinny at that point. Lol.

Photobucket

Both of us eating our lunch at Sushi Tei Vivocity. I think at that point she pestered me to take photos and then… Yea, we got this. LOL.

Photobucket

This is when Amanda had her housewarming and Kaelyn’s birthday. Somehow she surrender and offered to go to jail, to be locked up for life – with me. Hee.

Photobucket

This is when David has haggard and “castaway” look. Enough said.

Photobucket

Bridget, Sam and I during Chinese New Year. Should be the house at Jalan Besar. Damn funny when cam whoring starts. LOL.

Photobucket

I can’t take good photos without good friends that are good posers for good pictures. Haha!. This are memories.

Photobucket

This is after the Leisurepark trip, which was one off. But I do love this picture. The best pose of a group so far.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Sat the Flyer for the first time, and I did enjoy it. With the gang of course. =)

Photobucket

Then it was this Hotel Stay. Did the unthinkable. But manage to escape. Fun. haha!

Photobucket

This boy will forever be the most “bullied” boy ever. With a temperament, he can be funny and cute at times, as well as getting onto one’s nerves. But after all, he’s still a little boy. Haha.

Photobucket

And he loves posing.

Photobucket

And he will want to see the photo after taking. This is the true born Cam-Whore.

Photobucket

Not to forget that he’s photogenic.

Photobucket

And a copycat.

Photobucket

And another copycat. =)

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

This is a unit of Seaview Condominium that was bought by an owner on the 19th Storey. And that’s what you get for the amount. 160 degrees of eye view of the horizon of the sea. DAMN.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Oh ya, did I mentioned that it was 2.5 million per unit?

Photobucket

She bought 2 units BTW. (!!!!)

Photobucket

This is the oldest school picture when Jefremy is still around in our friendship existence. Somehow this Esplanade track keeps us wanting to go forward. Haha.

Photobucket

Well, we had fun at Fort Canning, on a trip of photography as well as jumping sessions. I did went very high up.

Photobucket

An effortless jump, no thanks to the one on the left. LOL!.

Photobucket

This happened during Suban’s chalet, when the moment of exhaustedness in addition to the lethargicity, I won this hands down. Zhi Mo Hua Shang. OWNAGE. HAHA!

Photobucket

Slacking in the office that I used to had fun and bad memories as well. Nonetheless, it’s full of crap. Haha.

A very unorthodox drawing from the artistic GL. She made a Courtesy Lion out of David. Somehow he doesn’t fight back. Haha.

Yes, it’s me and the McDonalds gift, THE Prosperous Shrek Ear. It come’s with a hairband with two little cute green things that allow you to pinch and pull. Shrek ear wax not included.

This is my latest acquisition for the job – a measuring tape. Was so in-to this gadget and thought that mine was the best until a contractor took out his 8m one. SIGH.

Last but not least, an OLD photo with me and Bridget at the Vegetarian Restaurant. Damn cooku hair as well as Bridget not so buffed up at that point. LOL.

Alright, all the fun is up. Gotta work tomorrow. Till Then. HAHA!.

The Spiderwick Chronicles

Took 1 and a half days to finish this show. Haha. As I travel, I get to enjoy the movie as well.

The plot – Upon moving into the run-down Spiderwick Estate with their mother, twin brothers Jared and Simon, along with their sister Mallory, find themselves pulled into an alternate world full of faeries, hobgoblins, brownies and ogres.

Personally, I think that this movie is better than the first part of Narnia. Fantastically done, the graphics have blown me away. Somehow the way the movie pictured the scene just makes one believe it’s so magical and believable at the same time.

The actors did a great job. Somehow, the plot is rather family-oriented as I would like to mention. Apparently, it kinda touched my heart in a way as well. The storyline is exciting and intriguing as goblins and other mythical creatures fearsomely try to get their hands on the book. I did like the point where fighting wasn’t really gonna help the whole situation.

In all, I believe that the movie is as good as stand alone and need not have anything beginning movie or continuation as it is enough to entertain the whole family. They do have their enjoyable parts as well as “lesson learnt” scenes. Overall, it’s not too bad though. I like the griffin actually. Looks damn real. Haha.
