While I drift into the wee hours of the night, I stumbled upon something useful and meaningful to follow. I guess we could all use this as some sort of a guide to life. Nice implementation though. As much as I would love to follow too. Heh. Good night world, enjoy this guide that I found. Thanks Hanyi for sharing!

I don’t think many people know it so far, but I went for a CT scan at NUH last week on Friday. Hopefully that will be the first and the last scan because I don’t want to be unhealthy.
There’s nothing to be afraid of, just that if I were to go there alone, it will be the most dreadful thing ever. Not surprising because everyone ain’t free in the morning, but it’s ok. Then again, seeing so many old people with people accompanying them along the way is really heart-warming and it made me feel better a little. Of course, all the more, someone did actually accompany me out of goodwill after all. So I shall take this opportunity to thank that person. Thank you very much my friend. Appreciate it A LOT A LOT A LOT. =))
Of course, it hurts when they inserted that bloody long and thick needle of at least 10cm length into my vein. My hand hurts for the whole day, numbing a bit in the process, but I’m fine now. The CT scan itself was quick, and it was really quite intimidating as well. Hopefully my heart has no serious issues. Then again, I didn’t let my sub-conscious take over my weak mind. Luckily it was all over after they inserted that metallic liquid into my body. That freaking sensation that went through from head to toe was rather tingly but I had to pee it off after much water intake or my kidney will be a problematic one in the future.
I guess when it comes to being sick, no one likes that feeling eh. Probably I won’t say so much of my problems for now because it’s nothing serious to worry about. After all, everyone else have better and more important things to worry about besides my health. The ones are probably my parents that will be worried, but I’ve assured them that I’m fine as of now. =)
The question is, when you are dying and you know that in a short notice, who will be there for you? Who will be the one taking care of you till your very last breath? When you are old without anyone to care for you, who would you turn to? Your mum’s deathbed or yours? Questions questions questions…
And my skin on my fingers are tearing apart. I don’t know from what purpose, but it’s just tearing apart. I think I’m losing my nutrients. And my chest still hurts. And I have no clue why either. My time’s up already?
This is bad. Real bad.

At last, I get to dine at Astons after some “not bad” comments from my family members. And this time round, we head to the real deal – which is the restaurant itself instead of the specialty outlets. And since it’s my dad’s birthday, we decided to make use of the occasion to go there and dine. Perhaps it was one of the best ideas that we could have. Haha.
The restaurant’s ambience at Centrepoint is rather warm, dark and cosy. At least the air con is moderately cold and not insanely freezing. Then again, most of us had warm water. Now the dishes that we had. For me, I ordered an Angus Ribeye X-Cut, which simply put, it’s heavier than the normal Angus Ribeye by 100g. Mum and Dad had the King Salmon Fillet, Andrea had the Chicken Provencal, Natalie had the Halibut, so did Jolene and Alex had the Chicken and Apple Sausage.
For every maincourse, you get to choose 2 different side dishes, which varies with many different types. Amongst all of the items that we ordered were baked potato, mashed potato, cheesy shell, cheesy potato, potato wedges, cream brocolli, hot buttered mushrooms and onion rings. Of all the items here, the baked potato, potato wedges, onion rings and the hot buttered mushrooms are commendable. Baked potato was finely done, with bacon bits. Adding a little more salt will do the trick as well.
Potato wedges were good, onion rings will filled with a good amount of – of course – onions, and fried to golden brown. Not too oily as well. The hot buttered mushrooms were my favourite though, it was what I ordered. The button mushrooms were so soft and cooked with butter, it’s no wonder I couldn’t get enough of the freshness of the mushroom as well as it’s great fungus taste. Haha.
The King Salmon fillet was quite good especially when it’s well done, with the fish being quite fresh, and cooked with a fine seasoning. Andrea’s Chicken Provencal as well as Alex’s Chicken and Apple Sausage was really good, with the chicken not being overdone, with the meat tasting as great as a chicken chop. The sauce that they use was quite fantastic too. And same goes for the sausage, which was really filling. Haha.
Above : King Salmon Fillet.
Above: Chicken Provencal
Above: Chicken and Apple Sausage.
The Halibut – or Flat fish – was also really fresh in taste. The texture of the fish meat was really soft and smooth. And the fish skin was great. Like totally grilled perfectly to suit taste buds. Haha. As for my Ribeye, I would say that the portion they give was rather huge. The meat was really thick but the medium rare was rather bloody, which was still fine with me given the fact that the beef was juicy and tender. They had this brown sauce which was really nice when it goes together with the beef though. Haha.
Above : Halibut (Flat Fish)
Above: Angus Ribeye X-Cut
In all, they have great service staff there that are willing to help you whenever you need, and of course, price wise are really quite worth to pay them for. And you get to fill your stomach like totally while you eat till your heart’s content. Be sure to visit there because I might just will once again. =)

Let me start by saying that this is a place that everyone – or anyone – should patronise. Firstly because of it’s good comfy couches and artistic layout of furniture and furnishing that makes it so simple yet with so much head room for you to feel relax after a day’s work or maybe during lunch as well.
Located at La Salle SIA, I head there with my usual group of friends and took the couch seatings for some finger food and stuff. Drinks wise, they have their usual alcoholic and non-alcoholic ones, all good for anyone with or without the desire to drink. Reminds me of Indochine, just nicer. =) Basically, there are many things that I could say but saying too much is just over-describing it, and I rather you patronise there to feel the difference. They do play chill-out music there with sometimes a tinge of lounge or perhaps some Michael Buble, jazz style.
Now to the food. I have 5 things to introduce here that we ordered and we felt that it was great. Firstly was the fries. The fries are so addictive that we have thoughts of boycotting the Shaker Fries from McDonalds. It’s not as oily, not as salty, yet it smells real good and it tastes really fantastic. You should try this.
Then we ordered something different. Something called the Otah Bruschetta. Usually a bruschetta will consist of diced tomatoes on toasted french bread (if I’m not wrong), but for this, obviously, the tomatoes are replaced with a layer of “mashed” otah. And yes, needless to say, that combination is as good as eating bread with otah from some bakery – with a difference because of the toasted feel of the bread. =)
Cravings after cravings came knocking on our tongues, so we started to order a pizza with prawn and wasabi mayo + Bonito flakes. Thin in crust I would say, yet the amount of prawn was rather little. But the freshness of the prawn made it all better. The wasabi mayo was new though, which added a little bit – or a tiny bit – of spiciness to the pizza. Overall, it’s a good dish to behold. 8 pieces, rather oval in shape, and at $9.90, it’s a steal.
David had his dessert, some berry thing which I forgotten the name. Was a bit disappointed when we didn’t get to try their cheesecake as well as their waffles and ice cream and maple. But the berry dessert thing was something different I would say – just give it a try. I couldn’t conjure the taste though. Perhaps easily said, a bit creamy, yet cakey, yet fruity. It’s just a different take on dessert and if publicised, I guess this dessert can go a long way. =)
Last but not least is the chicken wings. It’s like really well done and cooked that no words could describe how these chicken wings are so tasty. And the fact that the temptation to eat more lingers, I would really want to eat the chicken wings that they make once again. According to chef Suban, he says they use soy sauce, which explains the aromatic smell from far. Nice.
Ambience wise has been said earlier, and with good service and prices that are affordable for most range of people, I would recommend this place for chill outs and birthdays and dinner parties. It’s even better when during special events, a stage is there ready for performances by bands and whoever. Great place indeed. =)

I don’t wanna go to bed with a freaking full stomach. Last night – accompanied by today – are 2 days that I had 4 meals (2 lunches and 2 dinners) that cost A LOT, with quantity that surpasses the amount of popcorn you can find in a package deal at Golden Village. Portions were large, food was ever flowing. I’m starting to become so paranoid that I might just not eat.
It’s…. really….. insanity…. at….. it’s….. best…..
Then again, for last night’s dinner, it helped digest a lot after much LOL-ing was concerned. I never laughed so hard for so long already. That might be the reason why I lost my voice after last night’s clubbing session though. Lianjin’s leaving for his “education” country. Haha. Bon Voyage my friend, see you soon. =)
Enough, now some pictures from 15 minutes last night. =)
Now to get some ample rest. My eye’s are shutting.

I do not know if I have done a review on this before, but because of it’s good food and of course with a good camera again, let’s better be safe than sorry. LOL. =D. Located inside of Hotel Rendezvous, this restaurant has food that are so delicious, you can’t possibly not try it! For my halal friends, rejoice! As you will find one of the best Turkish food in Singapore that I have dined for. Fantastic stuff.
It was Gilbert’s Birthday so we all decided to dine at where he loved to eat, which I also actually celebrated my birthday there in the earlier part of the year. So everyone made their orders and I made mine. I didn’t know what the rest of the food were called, and neither did I remembered mine. But at least I know mine was under the Turkish main course portion. I ordered Beef Steak though. =)
The above bread is also known as a Herb Bread. Because mainly it’s just bread with herbs. But seriously, it’s well baked with a thin crusted feel outside with soft texture in the inside. Yummy!
This above is the usual Turkish finger food which is also quite unusual for me. But I actually love it because of it’s different kinda taste. It’s like very random but still lingers throughout your mouth. There’s one with a mash potato kinda feeling but that is really nice though. =)

That was David’s whatever salad they called it, garnish nicely with whole olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce as well as those toufu look-a-like thingy that I still can’t conjure up what it is. I didn’t try it, but David – being a salad lover – loves it. You can’t really not trust a salad lover can you? =D
And yes of course, I remembered my dish clearly, except that the name is so freaking long that I only know it starts with the letter K. Then again, this beef steak that I ordered comes together with french fries that taste all so good (better than LJS for sure!). On top of the beef – as you are wondering – is what they term it as a prawn garnish, which in whole taste really really great! Kinda like those breaded prawn except that the prawn is well cooked. =)
Now the beef. This is also one of the place with one of the best medium rare beefs that I ate till date. It’s juicy, tender and medium rare. Haha. In fact, it’s not so hard to chew and not that chewy till the point that you will feel damn sore and tired after chewing. At least I know after eating it, I won’t have to go for an X-ray on the jaw. =P
That would be David’s Lamb Pizza I think. The lamb is really well cooked as you know sometimes when you dine on mutton on lamb, there’s this taste/smell distinctively from a lamb/mutton. This one doesn’t, and together to be done with a pizza, it must have taken quite a while to get this dish done. The pizza’s not too thick, not too crispy as well. And yes, it taste great by the way.
Suban’s balls. Ok not his, but it’s beef balls that are at least minced beef rolled into balls. The real deal, these beef balls are very nice to chew on. In fact, they aren’t as tough as what we all think beef is. Accompanied with the sauce as well as salad that will never go wrong with, it’s no wonder Suban’s having a good time at the dining table.
That would be Gilbert’s Baked Vegetable something something. I do not know how to describe this, because I think I tasted minced beef beneath this good amount of cheese. And yes, with the vegetables like tomato, capsicum etc, the whole dish is kinda like a healthy yet ideal baked dish. And, it’s very pizza-ish. Turkish style. =D
Grace and Colin had this pasta with salmon and seafood I think. I didn’t try this, but it really looks yummy though. Looks like mee pok of course, but that’s pasta for you. I think they both finished it like totally, also claiming that it was a great meal. =)
In all, the service was fantastic from start till finish, warm greetings and a very nice customer relations and gestures from the manager himself. Ambience was good, with at least appropriate and comfortable seating for dining and relaxing. Good deco as well. =)
Go try it, like really, it’s definitely a place you will like for very good food. =)

NNB! JUST LAUGH AND LAUGH LOR!
The plot – Jack Neo’s 3-in-1 horror with Singaporean humour will include “Roadside Got Ghost”, “Forest Got Ghost” and “House Got Ghost”.
Ok, the humour is there, as always, and like everyone did, they laughed their hats off. I really thank the fact that my stomach hurt because it was really really funny. If you understand hokkien it’s even more better. Haha!.
Special effects have improved from the previous movies and of course, at least it doesn’t look as bad and overused as last time. But this time round, the 3 stories you have are different stories, and I would say on the 2nd story, the plot just lost it, but eventually, the fact that when they had to continue from Money No Enough 2 is kinda telling us that Jack Neo has run out of ideas. Or has he?
Anyways, apart from the family values that they instill as well, it’s just really funny to laugh it off throughout the whole show. Scary as it is, but hilarious as it is. Haha!
Ratings – 3 and a half out of 5 stars.

Dined in during Nianci’s birthday at Suntec city. Was looking for a place to eat but chanced upon somewhere over at Suntec. So we decided to give it a try.
And being on budget, I decided to order the set meal, which actually cost like $22.80++ that comes with a soup/salad, a main course and last but not least a drink/dessert to go with. And for every 2 set meals, there’s one side dish to go with for free, so I chose clams with some sauce whereas the other was chicken wings. We had like 5 people ordering set meals. So I chose Onion Soup, Sirloin Steak and last but not least, peppermint cake respectively.
Well, for the onion soup, I’m afraid that it’s alright at the first taste, but the after taste was really salty. Too much salt in fact. Wasn’t really my cup of tea. Or is it the way of the Swiss? Pardon the photos, only had an iPhone to take. Sorry.

The onion soup that doesn’t look at all tasty.
Then later when the clams came, I had fun eating the clams, though it was a portion for 5. Not too bad, as the sauce that they had was pretty alright, but I felt it could be better because there’s something that still lacks in it. Prolly the spice. But judging from how it was served, I think it’s pretty healthy from the looks of the dish itself. The chicken wings are good. In fact, it doesnt taste salty, yet it’s rather perfectly golden brown fried. The marination is not too bad too. Haha.

Chicken Wings.

Clams that look really… Clammy.
Then came the maincourse. Of course, I slowly but surely finished my main course, and the beef was alright. Thick and tasty but not tender enough. Medium rare is the done-ness. LOL. But then, the wedges as well as the cherry tomatoes made up for the tenderness. Perhaps the fact that Swiss culture is more into seafood explains more about why their meat is pretty alright only.

Sirloin steak that looks really nice actually. Don’t let the pic deceive you.
The peppermint cake is definitely small in portion, but because after having a good thick piece of steak, sometimes dessert need not come to heavy, so I perhaps thought taht this would be the right amount and portion for one. It’s alright only for the cake. It will taste better if it’s colder.

The cake that looks cute but taste alright. Haha.
Overall, ambience is a little classy, service was normal, although we had to face Toys’R'Us, but still, it was enjoyable. And it seems that the dishes were pretty well-made to suit healthy diets. But do remember that you only dine there with enough cash because it’s really a little steep for the pricing. But still, I will try their seafood combo next if I ever end up there again. It sure looks sumptuous!

Yesterday was the 1st Noble Nine Steamboat held at David’s place yesterday, and there was like a humongous amount of food. It’s like I can finish some food in front of me, and while feeling full at the same time, you turn back and head to the refrigerator and you realise that we have MORE food inside. Madness. But we tried our best though. Like we really tried. Haha.
Noelle dropped by, so did Coke. Gilbert didn’t, but he would have prolly finish everything else if he was there. But it was the wine that stole the show though. It was good stuff. Haha.
Picture time. =D
Now for a good night rest. My brain is shit ass dead already.

Cheesy video indeed. I mean I don’t paste 80′s videos but this song just digs somehow. Sad but true. LOL.
Sometimes, many things in life tend to be somewhat FML. It’s really sad to hear, but it’s really true. Many things unexplainable or rather not be mentioned. But still, life goes on doesn’t it.
After all, life’s a bittersweet symphony. We ride on the serenade of time.
Has anyone in the world ever sits down on their couch with a glass of wine and a bowl of crackers and ask themselves what’s life? Or have they ever come across sitting in a daze, staring into space, asking themselves what’s life? In fact, I guess in the world, not many people do so. That’s why we have people like Confucious or Shakespeare.
In our society, life hasn’t been something that people sits down to think of. People here are either too tied up with their important things or they are tired from the important things in life. That results in them going to bed. But as you can see on your Facebook “Online Friends” list on the bottom right corner of the screen, we have many friends still up at wee hours of the night. Tired? Exhausted? Bluff one la. HAHA.
Then again, does that mean that Singaporeans here do not even think or have a thought of what they perceive of life? I mean, they wake up, do what they wanna do / have to do, then go back to sleep. Is there even time for them to think about life? I know that I ain’t doing anything in life for the moment which is why I can sit here and analyze about the whole situation but does anyone in this society ever thought about it? Have you ever asked yourself after reading this about what’s life? Or in specific – What about your life?
Perhaps maybe sleeping/partying is the best way for people here to get out of stress. Sometimes I also wonder when people go to the club and start drinking like crazy, do their livers ever break down on them? Can you imagine one day when your friend calls you and says “Hey, wanna hang out? Erm, wait, I’m on dialysis. Join me?”
True enough, sometimes we down alcohol over misery. But is it really your cup of tea? Are you enjoying alcohol or just the fact of drowning sorrows and misery? Alcohol is – in fact – a bittersweet poison.
Sad BUT True.

Located at Queen’s Road, patronised this restaurant with Daddy and Amanda after finishing up the computer job there. Mind the photos as it’s taken from my iPhone. Bad quality. Haha.

Famous for it’s Kong Bak Pau, Daddy recommended this place not only for its aromatic Pau, but it’s other dishes as well.
Sat down and took our orders. I was surprised that their menu did offered more than what I just thought. At least it serves usual restaurant dishes like fishes, vegetables, seafood etc. Of course, being only 3 persons, we ordered half a roast chicken, one claypot hokkien mee, one plate of fried rice as well as 5 Kong Bak Pau.
Of course. After dining here, I discovered a gem in this place. Not literally but as if I found diamond.
The Kong Bak Pau is fantastic. As in, the oil of the pork is just right. The meat they serve is big enough, and the meat itself is tender and easy to chew. Soft and tasty. Thumbs up for the meat.

Kong Bak Pau at it’s best.
The claypot hokkien mee was well done though, with every seafood ingredient they cooked with still fresh in the meat, especially the prawns. Whereas for the fried rice, the salted fish was adequate and the prawns were fresh as well though I wished that the char siew bits were bigger. They were like non-existent when I chew on the whole spoon of rice, and it’s like I don’t taste any char siew. Sheesh.

Fried Rice.

Claypot Hokkien Mee.
The roast chicken was cooked to perfection I would say. Why? Because Amanda actually squeezed lime all over it, and that the taste of lime was not even strong enough to cover up the original taste of the chicken, which means that the chicken was really cooked so well that even lime couldn’t get rid of it’s true taste. Fantastic stuff.

Roast chicken. Nice colour there.
Of course, free flow of chinese tea and with a decent service, this restaurant is worth patronising in terms of their quality of their dishes. Don’t expect too much of a classy restaurant though, because it reminds me of restaurants from Malaysia. But still, the food was great nonetheless. I would want to go back there to try their restaurant dishes like steam fish and stuff if I had the time and chance. Love steam fish to the max. Price wise is like eating those Zhi Char in coffee shops. Not too bad though. Haha. At least this place is air conditioned and it’s cooo
I would suggest that you give this restaurant a try. It’s really kinda… uncommercialised. LOL.

There was a man back in ’95
Whose heart ran out of summers
But before he died, I asked him
Wait, what’s the sense in life
Come over me, Come over me
He said,
“Son why you got to sing that tune
Catch a Dylan song or some eclipse of the moon
Let an angel swing and make you swoon
Then you will see… You will see.”
Then he said,
“Here’s a riddle for yah
Find the Answer
There’s a reason for the world
You and I…”
Picked up my kid from school today
Did you learn anything cause in the world today
You can’t live in a castle far away
Now talk to me, come talk to me
He said,
“Dad I’m big but we’re smaller than small
In the scheme of things, well we’re nothing at all
Still every mother’s child sings a lonely song
So play with me, come play with me”
And Hey Dad
Here’s a riddle for yah
Find the Answer
There’s a reason for the world
You and I…
I said,
“Son for all I’ve told yah
When you get right down to the
Reason for the world…
Who am I?”
There are secrets that we still have left to find
There have been mysteries from the beginning of time
There are answers we’re not wise enough to see
He said… You looking for a clue I Love You free…
The batter swings and the summer flies
As I look into my angel’s eyes
A song plays on while the moon is high over me
Something comes over me
I guess we’re big and I guess we’re small
If you think about it man you know we got it all
Cause we’re all we got on this bouncing ball
And I love you free
I love you freely
Here’s a riddle for yah
Find the Answer
There’s a reason for the world
You and I..
————————————————————————————
Ok, have been doing crossword puzzles due to the inproductivity of myself at home. Speaking of which, the job tomorrow is cancelled thanks to internal conflicts at their office. Zzzz. Then again, I’m still up for the one person job thing. They have one person following me everywhere I go. Thank goodness it’s just for a day and it’s good money just to live your own life. Hopefully they have more of such stuff. As long as they don’t make me buy stuff or try stuff that I do not know, then it’s still fine nonetheless.
The weather has been rather unfriendly these days. In fact, it IS unfriendly after all. Wonder how are we gonna survive next time. Perhaps Singapore should invent something like a dome.

Artist Impression (Me) on the dome.
The dome – highlighted in blue, should be something like that. Then again, of course, if we are gonna put one dome above the heads every Singaporean, many factors like air, water etc. So I have thought of something like this.

Impression number 2.
We – after all – need to have the 2 most important things that we need la. These 2 tanks will regulate the air inside for the people of the island. Of course, we cannot just think for the humans ourselve but the trees and plants that we grow or plant inside. My mum will definitely complain if her basil plants or roses die gradually as these are not built. After this, I start to think about the main purpose of the dome. Where’s the freaking aircon?

Impression number 3.
So I have decided to install the wind / air con generator, hoping that it will make us feel less humid about the weather. In fact, we will make it just right that when we wear a blazer or jacket out into the sun, we won’t perspire at all. Nice eh. What about the rain you ask. Of course, I did my homework and came out with this.

Impression number 4.
The fact that we have rotating spheres for rain and snow is definitely gonna make Singapore a dream place to live in. They will regulate the days to have rain or snow so that nature still preserves it’s right of way in the world. Well, I did another improvement on the dome.

Impression number 5.
See the port and flight entrance? I mean I don’t place it there just because the port and the airport is there la. If one is to look it as a 2D perspective, I guess that person must be either dumb, or thinks that when you open the doors of the entrance, the ship will hit the oxygen tank and the plan will prolly crash into the generator. Nice try, but it ain’t. The entrances will open for activities like shipment and flights for sure. Maybe we shall open it for birds to fly in and sharks to swim in so that we have more drama in the news. Nice.
Still, this is just a small illustration of mine when you realise that your brain is about to get fried by the dubious weather here. Haha.
There are definitely pros and cons for this project – if it ever happens. Think Simpsons movie and you will understand why. Apart from the dropping of a bomb inside the sphere. Haha. If not, it should go fine. Hopefully. LOL.
P.S. – I didn’t draw the sea.
So Far….

Today’s a Sunday and I spent my morning playing soccer, afternoon eating lunch with Xueli and her friend (which until now I don’t know her name, LOL) and then having Pizza Hut for dinner with my family at Lot 1. Of course, feeling more full from Popeye’s last night, I had a heavy lunch, and a heavy dinner.
I swear to god the next following week I will eat fish soup every other day for meals outside. I’m afraid of fast food and crazy junk food for now. No more carbo intake for one week. No more chicken/pork/beef/mutton for a week.
Then again, I’m not dead and still alive and kicking, just lethargic from sports that’s all. Haha.
And sad to say, I will now say a few last words for my street soccer shoe who broke down on me this morning after about an hour and a half into a soccer game at Sengkang today. That pair of Nike shoes, bought at AMK hub 2 years ago, was made for me to kick, to score, to pass and to volley – all at a consistent rate. Too bad, it has to part ways with me today when the left sole came off, the inline padding broke into 2, the nails holding down the inline padding coming out, at the same time, leaving their sharp ends exposed and dangerous.
Of course, after 20 minutes of tolerance, I couldn’t take it anymore because I was kinda literally STEPPING ON NAILS AND RUNNING ON IT, PLAYING SOCCER. It’s painful for sure, but I tolerate. Somehow I can take pain easier than usual. Perhaps it’s the pain dealt to my heart that anything that came hitting onto me don’t hurt that much anymore. Oh well. At least it makes me tougher.
Then again, I was made to retire from the game like 12pm when they continued till 1. I was practically spectating the game the whole while, which sucks for sure. Damn.
I do not know is it me or what but I realised that I have changed drastically since that time when she left me. I wonder what happened to me. And all I wanted was to just get back to who I am. But I wonder who I am. I don’t describe myself. I don’t know who I am. No one can judge me, but at least can someone describe me of what I used to be? I’m like a soul trapped in a mirror, waiting for the identical body to get back to.
Who am I?
Who was I?
Define me.

Old at Age, Still Old at Age.

Today, as I rot at home in the morning, still in shock of the 4 – 4 scoreline between Chelsea and Liverpool, my grandparents came by to visit us. So as they took their seat, I realise that my grandma has an appointment with her hairdresser to perm her hair. And because my grandmother is kinda senile in a way, my mum asked me to accompany her to the hairdresser, which happens to be about 5 minutes walk away from my place.
Take note – it’s 5 minutes for me. Not my grandma.
So when time was up, we took a slow stroll towards her destination. Along the way, she asked if my girlfriend is still coming over to my place. And of course, my girlfriend being my ex-girlfriend now, I said no, not anymore. And then my grandmother started lecturing me. Then again, I couldn’t help but let her judge me. Come on, a woman in her 80′s. Tell me she hasn’t seen enough of the world.
World War 2, she’s there. The day Singapore became independent, she’s there. The day the MRT started moving on the tracks, she’s there. If she has enough experience to tell a tale, I’m sure she has enough experience in a relationship to tell me off. Then again, she was right about everything, from the rashness to the thoughts and to almost everything that I did. Then again, I couldn’t help but nod my head in despair, but of course, her words of encouragement in Hokkien did made my day less painful. Thanks grandma. =)
Then again, I couldn’t help but take a good look at my grandma. I said to myself – “How time really flies for her.” I would be like that someday – except for being the woman part – but still, age picks up on you no matter what. I bet my grandparents did regretful things in life, but they learnt as they age. So do I. And I tell you, the day you have white hair on your head is the day you know you learnt something different. And that thing that you will know is that learning is a process that trancends all ages. You are never too old to learn. Never too old to expand your knowledge.
My grandparents, no matter how old they are, still live with a smile on their faces. No worries. No fears. All they await is to rest in peace. When life starts to get this way for me, I know it’s the day that I’m waiting to. And that is the day that I will leave the face of the Earth. By then, I do not have the energy to climb Bukit Timah Hill. I do not have the energy to hit the beach and throw more frisbees. I do not have the energy to walk from Suntec to Marina Square. But I know that I have been there, and done that and I have learnt from the mistakes and experience and seek for a better truth.
Oh well, I know I will grow old, it’s just a matter of time. Thank god for my grandparents that I still see them here enough to tell me many things about life. Thanks grandma. You mean a lot to me. =)

What Kind of Habit is That?

I have been tolerating this for quite some time, but I just want to know what’s up with taxi drivers and their driving skills.
I know it’s a bit childish to rant, but some times if you have the time to observe, you might wonder why there’s this certain number of taxi drivers that have the habit to step their accelerator and letting it go and stepping on it again and letting it go, thus making the vehicle go fast and slow, fast and slow, fast and slow, but more slow and torturing.
In case you do not know, it’s better to keep your vehicle at a constant speed because everytime you have to step on the accelerator and letting it go and doing it again, you are actually wasting petrol. And what are these taxi drivers doing for god’s sake? They even do it when there’s no car in front of them, or when they are on an empty road. I wonder what’s keeping them from accelerating to a constant speed and KEEPING IT THERE.
You know it makes me giddy and it keeps wanting me to puke when the taxi drivers drive that way. I wonder what kind of habit they cultivate. I don’t like to rant about drivers and their habits but then it’s obviously gonna make their passengers drunk in barf when the drivers themselves do not even feel anything about it. Why I wonder. And it’s like 3 times in a week that I took a cab that week and I experienced the same feeling whenever I’m inside the car. All 3 drivers had the same habit of doing that and that irks me for real. It’s not like my driving is that good but at least I DON’T do that. Zzzz.
I’m begging to all taxi drivers – or at least if your dad/mum is a taxi driver, please gently remind them with regards to their driving habits. Because you might never know how dizzy your passengers are.
Anyways, I decided to start on my Portfolio and this is my weblink -

I found a direction and I’m heading towards it.
It’s all or nothing now. =)
